About Michael
I’m Michael Johns, and I have nearly 40 years’ experience in the mortgage industry. I’ve personally closed more than $500 million in mortgage loans. I have the same enthusiasm toward the mortgage business that I did as a newbie nearly four decades ago. I stay up to date on all phases of the mortgage and real estate business, the new rules and regulations and the latest innovative programs to guide my clients through the mortgage process. While I find that the trust and rapport established in a face-to-face meeting leads to a smoother transaction, I work well with all types of electronic communication. Please contact me today.
I am in constant contact and make myself readily available to my customers. I stay on top of my files, which allows me to keep my clients up to date. I am honest and deliver on my promises. I know mortgage program guidelines and where to get answers to my questions. I am not afraid to say I don’t know, but I will find out, and I always get back to clients with information.
My in-depth knowledge of the mortgage and real estate industries, my experience and my follow through set me apart from other mortgage consultants.
I obtained my real estate broker license in order to gain better understanding of the overall real estate business and also graduated from the School of Mortgage Banking and the Real Estate Institute. I was an advisor to the real estate department at Governors State University and a frequent lecturer for the real estate department at my alma mater, Western Illinois University.
I’ve been fortunate to be married for 28 years to a woman who remains my best friend and to have two sons who live nearby. I have a grandson who’s serving in Japan for the U.S. military. I am avid outdoorsman (that’s why I moved to Arizona full time from Chicago four years ago), enjoying hiking, camping, four-wheeling, rafting and traveling throughout the western U.S. Since moving here full time, I have participated with the following nonprofits: The Sedona Westerners, The Sedona Art Festival and Studio Live.
