After months of downward trending, home prices rose in April for the first time in seven months according to a report on CNN Money.
Although prices are down 1.9% on an annual basis, average home prices increased 1.3% in April in 20 major markets according to the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index. Although one month of moving prices is hardly the start of a positive trend, it has been a long time since home prices experienced broad-based gains across major metropolitan areas.
Now is a great time to buy a home. Home prices and mortgages rates are at historical lows.
